Aerosmith

Há quem considere, como eu, que os Aerosmith são uma das 10 maiores bandas de sempre. O mundo da música é muito vasto, por isso é dificil ter certezas, mas já há algum tempo que gosto muito dos aerosmith e quis aqui fazer um post sobre eles.
Todos os seus cds têm músicas muito boas:o primeiro tem "Dream On", o segundo tem "same old song and dance", o terceiro tem "walk this way"e poderia ficar aqui imenso tempo...
Todos os membros da banda são muito bons,Steven Tyler tem uma voz excepcional, Joe Perry faz uns riffs geniais, Brad Withford acompanha muito bem, Tom Hamilton "marca o passo" como ninguém e, por fim, Joey Kramer dá um ritmo óptimo à música,resumindo, são todos grandes músicos.O último albúm deles é muito bom! Mesmo para quem não conheces muitas músicas blues, é um cd indespensável! Mostra como os Aerosmith ainda são fiéis às suas origens...

Nascido na Califórnia, Ben Harper cresceu a ouvir blues, soul, reggae, entre outros géneros de música. Começou a tocar guitarra em criança e fez parte de alguma bandas.
A sua carreira a solo começou em 1993 com o lançamento de " Welcome To The Cruel World". Depois lançou "Fight For Your Mind" em 1995, "the Will To Survive" em 1997 e "Burn To Shine" em 1999. Em 2000, saiu uma caixa especial intitulada "CD Box Collection" contendo os 3 primeiros cds de Ben Harper e, passado um ano, saiu o duplo cd ao vivo "Live From Mars" que tem várias músicas conhecidas dele, tais como “Excuse Me Mr.”, “Steal My Kisses” e “Pleasure And Pain”. O seu sexto cd é "Diamonds On The Inside" que saiu em 2003 e ao lado de Ben Harper estavam e, ainda estão, os Inocent Criminals que são Juan Nelson (baixista), Leon Lewis Mobley (percurssão) e Oliver Charles (baterista). Em 2004, Ben Harper lançou "There Will Be A Light" com os Blind Boys of Alabama ( grupo de gospel), que ganhou um grammy de melhor álbum de Soul Gospel. Este ano, já lançou "Live at Apollo".
Para nós, é um dos melhores músicos de sempre e que revolucionou a música dos nossos dias...Não se consegue encontrar uma música dele que não se goste...

xutos e pontapés.. talvez uma das melhores bandas portuguesas foi criada em 20 de dezembro de 1978 ,quando tiveram o seu primeiro ensaio!

A 13 de Janeiro aconteceu a primeira actuação ao vivo dos Xutos & Pontapés, na comemoração dos "25 anos do Rock and Roll" na sala dos Alunos de Apolo. No dia seguinte, o seu nome é citado no programa de rádio "Os Caminhos do Rock" como sendo uma banda punk.
A 2 de Maio foi realizado o primeiro concerto organizado pelos Xutos & Pontapés, onde também actuam os "Minas e Armadilhas" .

Apartir destas datas xutos e pontapés foram ficando famosos ate hoje em dia , em que toda a gente ,dos mais novos aos mais velhos, conhece as musicas desta banda portuguesa !

Todos já ouviram falar ou de Peter Gabriel ou de Phil Collins e muitos já ouviram falar dos Genesis...
O seu primeiro album foi From genesis to Revelation,gravado em 1968. Em 1970, Anthony Philips retira-se depois do lançamento de Trespass e Phil Collins e Steve Hackett juntam-se a banda. Em 1971 fazem Nursery Crime. Em 1972,é gravado o album Foxtrot que contém a música "Watcher of the skies". Em 1974, fazem The lamb lies down in Broadway. A banda foi recebendo cada vez mais elogios (tanto pela imprenssa como pelos fans).
Em 1975, Peter Gabriel saiu da banda para continuar carreira a solo e Bill Bruford e Chester Thompson foram os bateristas que se seguiram, deixando Phil Collins só como vocalista. Em 1977, Steve Hackett sai da banda deixando as guitarras para Mike Rutherford, ou seja, And then there were three.Depois seguiu-se o album Duke que atingiu a platina. Em 1996, Phil Collins sai dos genesis e o teclista Tony Banks e o guitarrista Mike Rutherford com o novo vocalista: Ray Wilson. Calling all stations vendeu bem na Europa mas não na América.Os Genesis acabem por se separar em 1998...
É uma grande banda, composta por grandes elementos...a voz inconfundível de Peter Gabriel, a bateria genial de Phil Collins, o som peculiar das teclas de Tony Banks...

The un-paid extras disturb the sleeping broadway.

Enough of this - our hero is moving up the subway stairs into day- light.

With casual sideways glances along the wet street,
he checks the motion in the steam to look for potential obstruction.
seeing none, he strides along the sidewalk, past the drugstore with iron gBeing removed to reveal the smile of the toothpaste girl,
past the nightladies and past patrolman frank leonowich (48, married, two kids)
who stands in the doorway of the wig-store.
patrolman leCh looks at rael in much the same way that other patrolmen look at him,
and rael only just hides that he is hiding something.
meanwhile from out of the steam a lamb lies down.
this lamb has nothHatsoever to do with rael, or any other lamb - it just lies down on broadway.

The lamb seems right out of place,
Yet the broadway street scene finds a focus in it’s face.
Somehow it’s lying there,Brings a stillness to the air.
Though man-made light, at night is very bright,
There’s no whitewash victim,As the neons dim, to the coat of white.
