The e-U (Electronic University) project is based on a network of virtual campus, designed for the creation of university services online, the production and sharing of academic contents and the setting up of university communities.

Wireless Internet reaches more than 80% of the portuguese academic community in October of 2005

Untill the end of October, approximatetly 300.000 University students (more than 80% of the portuguese academic community) will have access to free wireless Internet in the University campus. Through the initiative e-U, 50 Universities will have an infra-structure available to all the academic community.. Full Story>>

TECHNICAL SOLUTIONS AND ARCHITECTURE

With the Wi-Fi technology, broadband wireless networks will allow access from laptops to a variety of services. Whether you access from the campus (where internet access is free), or from home (with cable or DSL access), e-U is there. More >>
