‘‘Struggle of Saharawi people is based on principle of decolonization’’ (Prime Minister of Lesotho)


New York (UN), Sep27,2009 (SPS) -"the struggle of the Saharawi people is based on the principle of decolonization and sovereignty of each nation " said ,Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Lesotho, Mr. Bakalita Musisili during his speech Saturday at the 64th session of the General Assembly of UN.

He stressed that "the General Assembly and Security Council of the United Nations recognized the inalienable right of the Saharawi people to self-determination and independence ".

"We urge the Polisario Front and Morocco to continue negotiations on an equal footing and without conditions, to achieve a solution to guarantee the right of the Saharawi people to self-determination and independence.

In this context, he explained, "the request for the Saharawi people to self-determination must be the first priority in these negotiations." (SPS)
