Location of backup files
This page explains why contributors should provide the most frequent location of their computer.
During the setup process the contributors are asked to enter the zip code and the most frequent location of their computer. This information enables rARC to have an overview of the geographical location of the backup files. This provides the ability to restore the backup files if the repository of the Portuguese Web Archive loses the stored information if, for instance, a natural disaster occurs.
