Joana F. Fangueiro is currently a Ph.D. student of biopharmaceutical chemistry at University Fernando Pessoa, Porto, Portugal. She received her degree (pre-Bolonha) in Pharmaceutical Sciences from University Fernando Pessoa, Porto, Portugal in 2010. In 2012, she received her integrated master (Bolonha) in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the same University. Her research studies are based on developing lipid nanoparticles for ocular, dermal and oral delivery. Her research area is diabetes mellitus and its consequences. Actually, her research is based on development of lipid nanoparticles for the treatment of diabetic retinopathy.
