Master in International Business

Goals

The Master in International Business (MIB) targets allowing graduate students to continue studying emphasizing international business, to improve their employability in firms and public organizations, as well as promoting the economy – namely in the international dimension – through foreign trade and foreign investment.

  • Promote the acquisition of specific knowledge at advanced level in specialized International Business areas;
  • To cope with challenges in global markets, MIB trains professionals who become available for national and foreign firms to recruit to lead and support their internationalization process;
  • Contribute to promote research in international business field; 
  • Contribute to improve the competitiveness of the regional firms, many of which are exporting SMEs; 
  • To have an active role in managing organizations, being a part of top management teams.

Conditions of admission

The candidates for the study cycle of master may be:

  1. Individuals that already hold an undergraduate degree (Licenciatura - licensee) or a legal equivalent;
  2. Individuals that hold a university degree by a foreign institution, conferred in the sequence of a study cycle organized according to the principles of the process of Bologne by a member state;
  3. Individuals that hold a university degree by a foreign institution that is recognized as satisfying the objectives of the undergraduate degree (licensee) by the Technical-Scientific Council of the School of Management and Technology (ESTG); 
  4. Holders of a curriculum vitae with a proven scholarly, scientific or professional record that is recognized by the technical-Scientific Council of the School (ESTG) as providing the capacity to proceed in this study cycle.
