The intervention of ground teams also expanded the response means of NGO's and immigrant associations, who are daily faced with situations to which they may not have or know the answer.
The services are performed by socio-cultural mediators who seek to clarify and guide foreign nationals on various immigrant everyday issues:
- Regularization of residence in Portugal;
- Access to Portuguese nationality;
- Family Reunification;
- Access to Health and Education.
In situations that are more complex and that require more attention, ground teams report the situation to the offices of CNAI, taking into account the immigrant's area of residence. In these cases, an appointment is made at CNAI Lisbon or Porto.
