- To be a third-State national;
- To live as a higher education student in Member State of the European Union;
- To apply to attend in Portugal part of a study plan already begun or complement it with a plan of related studies.
To the request must be joint the following documents:
- Travel document with a validity that covers the foreseen extension of the stay;
- If you are underage – authorization from who has parental responsibility;
- Supporting document proving that you meet the conditions of admission at a higher education institution;
- Supporting document proving that you participate in a Community Exchange programme as student in a Member State of the European Union during a period of no less than 2 years.
The deadline for granting the visa can be longer than 60 days.
Holding a residence visa, can I see refused the authorization to live in Portugal?
Yes. The fact of having a residence visa does not mean that the SEF will grant to you, necessarily, the residence authorization. There are other conditions that must be met.
