OBJECTIVOS / AIMS
  The objectives of this internal project are:

  • To study the epistemological role of images in modern Western medicine
  • To understand why starting from the XX century, artists and philosophers have considered the body as a privileged site of inscription of the relationships between science, medicine and art
  • To analyze epistemological, phenomenological, political and bioethical implications of contemporary biomedicine through the lenses of Body-Art and Bio-Art
  • To study the notions of pleasure, limit/border and desire related to the body, and their implications in theatrical and performative practices, through the works of Foucault, Derrida and Deleuze.
