Doutorando em co-tutela entre a Universidade de Lisboa (Centro de Filosofia das Ciências da UL, CFCUL) e a Universidade Paris 1--Panthéon-Sorbonne (Institut d’Histoire et de Philosophie des Sciences et des Techniques, IHPST). Investiga a filosofia de Kurt Gödel, em particular, a noção de filosofia enquanto teoria exacta. Orientadores: (Lisboa) Olga Pombo e Franco de Oliveira; (Paris) Mark van Atten. N. Jerónimo começou por estudar arquitectura e depois matemática. Após esse período (entre 1995 e 1997), optou por se dedicar à filosofia (UL, licenciatura, 2001) e mais tarde à filosofia da matemática (UL, mestrado, 2007). Ensinou filosofia em diferentes níveis de ensino entre 2005 e 2009, ano em que ganhou uma bolsa FCT de doutoramento. Em trabalho recente (2012), chama a atenção para o problema da heterogeneidade e aparente arbitrariedade dos aforismos gödelianos (coligidos por Hao Wang) sobre metodologia filosófica. N. Jerónimo também criou e mantém um website de conteúdo filosófico gödeliano, “der Herr Warum”: http://goedel.fc.ul.pt.

PhD (cotutelle) student (ie, in a joint supervision programme) at Lisbon University (Centro de Filosofia das Ciências da Universidade de Lisboa, CFCUL) and at Pantheon-Sorbonne University (Institute d’Histoire et Philosophie des Sciences et des Techniques, IHPST). He researches about the philosophy of Kurt Gödel, especially, Gödel’s notion of philosophy as an exact theory. Advisers: (Lisbon) Olga Pombo and Franco de Oliveira; (Paris) Mark van Atten. Long before initiating his PhD, N. Jerónimo studied architecture and mathematics. After that period (between 1995 and 1997), he decided to dedicate himself to philosophy (Lisbon, BA, 2001) and later to philosophy of mathematics (Lisbon, MA, 2007). He taught philosophy at different educational degrees from 2005 to 2009, and in that year he won a PhD grant from the FCT (Portuguese fund for science and technology). In a recent work (2012), he draws attention to the problem of heterogeneity and apparent arbitrariness of Gödel’s aphoristic remarks (collected by Hao Wang) on philosophical methodology. N. Jerónimo also has created and maintains a website of philosophical content about Gödel’s thought, “der Herr Warum”: http://goedel.fc.ul.pt .
