The Polytechnic Institute of Leiria gives de students the opportunity to practice a wide range of sports trough the sport sector of the Student Support Services.
This sector is organized in 2 areas Leisure and Competition. In this last area the IPLeiria normally attend National Higher Education Championships organized by the Academic Federation of University Sports- in Portuguese known as FADU.
These last years, IPLeiria has been achieving step by step a top position in what regards sport achievements. At the moment, in IPLeiria has an impressive history of championships with 40 national titles and a countless number of podium places. Furthermore, IPLeiria teams, already participated in 11 European Championships representing Portugal.

New applications
To enroll, please fill in the form and send by e-mail to desporto@ipleiria.pt, together with a copy of your ID card and a certificate of enrolment in the current academic year.
Competiton
In the last few years IPLEIRIA reached the top of Higher Edcuation Istitutions in what concerns Sports in general, specially the participation in competitions. We have proudly already 40 national university titles together with a countless number of podium positions. IPLEIRIA also participated in 11 European Championships representing Portugal.

PAFE® – Program of physical activity for IPLEIRIA students
PAFE® it’s a program that was born due to a partnership between the social services and the undergraduate degree of Sport and Well Beeing of our School of Social Sciences and Higher Education, with the goal of offering to the students sessions of leisure time care and physical condition improvement.
Types of activities: special workout, functional training and dance.
Place: ESECS Gymnasium
Daily and after-work, every day (minimum 2 and maximum 4 sessions per week).
