Are available for application  the following types of scholarships:

Merit Base Scholarship | Requisites and criteria

// Definition: A Merit Based Scholarship is a financial award that IPLeiria gives to international students based on academic records meaning that student will only have to pay partly of tuition fee.

// Who can aplly: International student with GPA higher than 14 ( 0 to 20 portuguese scale).

// Documents needed: Applicants must , after filling the application form , send  the following documents to  estudante.internacional@ipleiria.pt  

Application to undergraduate | You must submit certified academic transcripts with final GPA;

Application to Master | You must submit certified academic transcripts of your bachelor with final GPA;

// Number of scholarships available: For each program is set a number of scholarships to be given accordingly to the table below. 

// Selection: For each application phase the Merit Based Scholarships are awarded in descending order in the selection of a qualified candidate for this scholarship. 

// Conditions for Granting: Students who were awarded with a Merit Based Scholarship shall perform the enrolment and pay for the first part of the tuition fees in accordance with the deadlines defined. If the student does not enrol loses the right to the Merit Based Scholarship and the grant will be awarded to the next candidate on the ranking list.

// Scholarship maintenance:  Scholarship maintenance in subsequent years will depend on successful completion of the course during the preceding year.

// Other conditions: If there is any scholarship left it will be transferred for the next phase .

Cooperation for Development Scholarship| Requisites and criteria

// Definition: A Cooperation for Development Scholarship is a financial award that IPLeiria gives to international students meaning that student will only have to pay 50% of tuition fee.

// Who can aplly: Cooperation and Development Scholarships may be awarded to students from Portuguese-speaking countries in a situation of continuing studies at Leiria Polytechnic or have submitted application under specific collaboration agreement .

// Documents needed: Applicants must , after filling the application form , send  the following documents to  estudante.internacional@ipleiria.pt  

Application to undergraduate | You must submit certified academic transcripts with final GPA;

Application to Master | You must submit certified academic transcripts of your bachelor with final GPA;

Application to undergraduate or master | You must submit a motivation letter written under the theme ” I believe that the application to this program will … . ” .

//Number of scholarships available: It can be awarded two +Technology Scholarship to the following bachelor programs: Biotechnology, Energy and Environmental Engineering, Industrial Engineering and Management and Civil Engineering.

// Selection: Scholarships + Technology are granted based on the selection of the best motivation letter written under the theme ” I believe that the application to this program will … . ” .

// Scholarship maintenance: Scholarship maintenance in subsequent years will depend on successful completion of the course during the preceding year.

// Can I apply for more than one scholarship?

The scholarships are not cumulative so it will be granted the scholarship that proves to be most advantageous to the student.
