Guillermo Ivan Pereira is a Ph.D. Candidate in Sustainable Energy Systems at the MIT Portugal Program and the University of Coimbra. Holds a M. Sc. in Energy for Sustainability with specialization in Energy Systems and Policy by the Faculty of Science and Technology of the University of Coimbra and a Bachelor’s in Business Administration by the Faculty of Economics of the same University. His research interests include climate and energy, and energy efficiency policies, energy efficiency economic impacts, indirect energy efficiency benefits, the organisational, technological and institutional changes in electricity companies, the ongoing discussions on the utilities of the future and the future role of network industries, in particular of electricity distribution companies.
