3rd Iberian-American Seminar on Information Society Indicators, 29th and 30th September

 - 26/09/2005

The main objective of this seminar is to present, discuss and perfect the first version of the Lisbon Manual – Guide for the production of statistical indicators on the development of the information society in Iberian-American countries-. The basis for drafting this Manual is an exhaustive and organised survey of all observation institutions, indicators and methods, as well as an analysis of the potential and limits of indicators and variables in use. The aim is to bring out a document that can act as a guide for the production of indicators in this area.

In addition to the representatives of benchmark national institutions, the seminar will be attended by experts from different international agencies, such as ECLAC, the OECD, Eurostat and UNESCO.

The seminar will be held in Lisbon at ISCTE - Ala Autónoma - Auditório Afonso de Barros on 29th and 30th September.
