A meeting of the i2010 High Level Group will be held in the headquarters of the European Commission building in Brussels on the afternoon of 28th November 2007. The members are Directors-General for the Information Society, representing the Member States.
Portugal is represented at the i2010 High Level Group by the President of Knowledge Society Agency (UMIC).
The meeting agenda will include: discussion of the challenges facing policies for the future of networks and the Internet, and possible contributions to the Spring European Council with regard to future networks and the Internet.
The meeting will be preceded by a High Level Seminar – Industry Round Table on the Mid-term Review of the i2010 Initiative on the Future of Networks and the Internet, which will be held on the morning of the same day. This seminar will be attended by companies, universities and user organisations. Top managers from the following companies will take part in the event: Alcatel-Lucent, Bertelsmann, British Telecom, Eircom–TBC, Ericsson or Nokia, FON, France Telecom, Google, IBM, Joost.
