The 7th meeting of the i2010 High Level Group was held in Brussels on 27 June 2008. The members are Directors-General for the Information Society, representing the Member States.
Portugal is represented at the i2010 High Level Group by the President of The Knowledge Society Agency (UMIC).
The meeting agenda included: Draft recommendation on RFID, Development of information society policy strategies in the Member States, Update on developing the post-i2010 agenda, Broadband performance Index, New measurement Framework and the European Broadband Portal.
Portugal had objected with regard to the adoption of a composite indicator for broadband from the outset and contributed intensively with highly critical analytical work that was nevertheless constructive at a Broadband Sub-Group which was set up following approval by the i2010 High Level Group at the 13 May 2008 i2010 High Level Group.
