Online Teaching Methods and the Current Labour Market

The Public Meeting of the Open University’s “Online Teaching Methods and the Current Labour Market” International Advisory Board will be held on 12th November 2007 at 3pm in the Fundação das Comunicações’ Auditorium in Lisbon. The main aim will be to demonstrate the relevance of online teaching methods to gearing up what universities offer to the emerging needs of an increasingly more flexible and complex labour market.

The session shall be chaired by the Vice-Chancellor of the Open University, Prof. Carlos Reis, in the form of a round table. The guest speakers will be members of the Open University’s Advisory Board. The Board is chaired by the Anglo-Canadian specialist Tony Bates, and also includes Linda Harasim (Simon Fraser University of Vancouver, Canada), Robin Mason (Open University of the United Kingdom), Ulrich Bernath (Vice-President of the European Distance Education Network) and Albert Sangrà Morer (Universidad Oberta de Catalunya).
