The External Review Committee of the MIT - Portugal Program met on 14 March 2008 at Science and Technology Foundation (FCT). This was the 3rd time since this program started on 11 October 2006 under the scope of the Knowledge Networks activities integrated within the Commitment to Science for Portugal’s Future initiative.
The meeting was designed primarily to evaluate the progress of the Program during its first year and projects and proposed budget for 2008/2009.
The members of the External Review Committee of the MIT – Portugal Program are:
- Professor Henk Sol, Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Groningen, The Netherlands (President)
- Professor Roland Clift, Distinguished Professor of Environmental Technology, University of Surrey, UK
- Professor Nick Oliver, Head of the School of Management and Economics, University of Edinburgh, UK
- Prof. César Dopazo, Professor of Fluid Mechanics, University of Zaragoza, Spain
- Professor Peter Cavanagh, President, Department of Biomedical Engineering of Cleveland Clinic, Virginia, USA
- Dr. Robert E. Skinner, Jr. Director of the Department of Transportation Research of the National Academy of Sciences, USA
