- 29/01/2009A meeting with representatives from Spain, Greece and Portugal was held at the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation on 29th January 2009 in Madrid on the Financial Perspectives of the European Union 2014-2021 in the area of Competitiveness.
This meeting comes under an agreement reached between the three countries on working together to explore common points of view on the European Union’s Financial Perspectives 2014-2021 in the areas of Cohesion, Competitiveness, Agriculture and Financial Resources. The corresponding trilateral committees are coordinated respectively by Portugal, Spain, Greece and Portugal and are followed by the three countries’ foreign ministers.
The Portuguese representation on the trilateral competitiveness committee is headed by Luis Magalhães, President of the Knowledge Society Agency (UMIC).
