Riga Ministerial Conference - "ICT for an Inclusive Society"

Riga Ministerial Conference Logo The Riga Ministerial Conference - "ICT for an Inclusive Society" was held between 11-13 June 2006, in Riga, Latvia (see Riga Ministerial Conference - "ICT for an Inclusive Society"). This conference was approved by a Ministerial Declaration (Ministerial Declaration on the Occasion of the Ministerial Conference "ICT for an Inclusive Society") and The Knowledge Society Agency (UMIC) was involved in its preparation. On the 12th the Portuguese delegation was chaired by the Minister for Science, Technology and Higher Education, José Mariano Gago, and on the other days by the President of UMIC, Luis Magalhães. Other members of the Portuguese delegation were: Rui Marques, High Commissioner for Immigration and Ethnic Minorities; Graça Simões, Member of the Board of Directors of UMIC; Francisco Godinho, Professor at UTAD; Jorge Fernandes and Cláudia Cardoso from UMIC.
