This symbol declares the conformity of this page with XHTML – eXtensible HyperText Markup Language grammar, which is an extension of HTML – HyperText Markup Language reformulated in XML – Extensible Markup Language. HTML is the lingua franca for publishing hypertext on the Internet developed by Tim Berners Lee in 1992, who is considered the inventor of the World Wide Web precisely for this contribution. It was he who in 1994 founded the W3C - World Wide Web Consortium, of which he became the Director.
