Formal Ceremony for the Portuguese Coalition for Digital Employability

Last April 29th, around 4.30 pm, a public ceremony took place at the Calouste Gulbenkian, Foundation, in Lisbon, for the constitution of the Portuguese Coalition for Digital Employability, which was attended by over a dozen public and private entities.

The Portuguese Coalition for Digital Employability mainly aims at the constitution of a platform contributing towards making it easier and encouraging a collaboration among public and private entities, academic and technical communities, non-governmental organisations, and the civil society as to adopt measures promoting training and employability in the Portuguese ICT market.

This Coalition is responsible for proposing a Strategy and Action Plan for Digital Employability for 2015-2020, which shall respond to matters related with a reduction in professional deficit and a continuous improvement in accessing ICT skills, an increase in the number of digital economy companies, economic growth, and digital markets.

This public ceremony was also an opportunity to broadcast the study on the mapping on education and training in IT, communication and electronics provided in Portugal.
