You should go to the Health Care citizen’s office, to the Hospital, or instead to the Regional Health Authority. You can also go to the Health Authority, Department of Health or the National Immigrant Support Centre (NISC).
The Constitution of the Portuguese Republic determines that each citizen, even foreigners, have the right to general health care and for that reason, all the existing health resources should be available to each ones necessities, regardless of their economic, social and cultural conditions.
(under the decision of Department of Health no. 25 360/2001).
All health units have complaints books (yellow book) in the citizen’s office, where you can and should register your complaints.
You can also go to the citizen’s office, write a letter to Health Authority or the Department of Health. Complaints can also be made on the internet, in the Health Authority Portal or the in the Users Portal.
