Alexandra Silva is a PhD in the area of Microbiology at the Life and Health Sciences Research Institute (ICVS), School of Health Sciences of University of Minho (Braga, Portugal). She is graduated in Applied Biology and obtained her PhD degree in Health Sciences at the School of Health Sciences of University of Minho. Her main research interests are related to the molecular pathways regulating the yeast programmed cell death, specifically the alternative translation mechanisms regulating HSP90 chaperones expression during yeast apoptosis. She has published 6 scientific papers in indexed journals and was integrated in 2 research projects. Current Index H is 4.
