Program Presentation
At IPLeiria most classes are taught in Portuguese. Having the necessary skills to understand portuguese is something that we want help you with. For this reason, Leiria Polytechnic launched a Preparation Program for International Students, which aims to prepare students for their application process in the Portuguese higher education system and provide them with the guidance needed for their success. Students may enroll in courses for:
learning and improvement Portuguese written and spoken level (PT module ) and / or
specific curricular units to prepare for the application exams ( EX Module )

Program Structure
Base Module (mandatory)
Enrollment in this module is mandatory. As an IPLeiria student you’ll be granted access to all services, attendance in Portuguese language and culture classes and participation in cultural activities. You’ll be able to learn by exploring geographic, historical and cultural aspects of the country. All these activities will be monitorised by teachers and staff.
PT Module (optional)
Enrollment in this module is optional. This module provides a way to test your Portuguese-speaking skill and gives you the ability to be placed in the correct Portuguese language learning classes according with the skill test results.
EX Module(optional)
Enrollment in this module is optional. This module covers the attendance of specific curricular units classes in order to prepare for the mandatory application exams. You can still be given credit by enrolling in additional curricular unit that will help you with your application.

These are the following fees for 2015/2016:
Base Module (mandatory) – 250 EUR
PT module (optional) – 250 EUR
EX module (optional) – EUR 200 / per curricular unit
