• Member of the National Water Council as “expert” (since 2009).
• Member of the XV Working Group of the National Water Council by ministerial appointment, to advise on the National Water Master Plan (since March 2010).
• Consultant to the Administration of Hydrographic Region (Central Portugal) for specialized technical consultancy concerning on watershed master plans (Rivers Vouga, Mondego, Lis rivers , and Oest rivers), 2010.
• Member of the Portucel Soporcel Group's Environmental Committee (since May 2008). The other members are: Professor Ramôa Ribeiro of IST and the Rector of the Technical University of Lisbon (Chairman), Professor Rui Ganho of the New University of Lisbon and Vice-Rector of that university, Professor João Santos Pereira of the Instituto Superior de Agronomia and Professor Casimiro Pio of the University of Aveiro. It involves three meetings per year in group’s plants in Figueira da Foz, Cacia and Setúbal) collaborating on the annual “Sustainability Report”.
