In 2010, Teresa Sousa completed the M.Sc. degree in Biomedical Engineering (Medical Electronics branch), given by the University of Minho. Since then, she has been investigating the application of engineering tools to the study of brain function. Her research includes works in the field of automatic detection of electroencephalographic seizures, automatic sleep scoring, neurofeedback/BCI and visual perception. In 2017, she concluded her Ph.D. degree in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Coimbra, presenting her Ph.D. thesis entitled ''From parametric decoding of simple mental states to neurofeedback: insights into the neuroscience of cognitive control''. Her current research interests are related to Neuroengineering, in particular concerning direct brain computer interfaces and neurofeedback applications.
