Present research interests: Science Education, especially Physical Sciences and Engineering Education Research, in particular: i) Curriculum design and evaluation of teaching; ii) Teacher mediation of student learning; iii) Teaching practices (questions, tasks, inquiry, epistemic practices, decisions, engagement, assessment, CTS contexts, interactions); iv) Conceptual learning; v) Tools for data collection in classroom; vi) computer simulation; vii) Teacher education and viii) Science Education Theory. Publications Author of 7 books (1 in international edition); editor of 3 books. Author of: 17 papers in international scientific journals with peer review; 14 chapters in books (national and international editions); 26 papers in international conference proceedings, and 84 communications.
