Jonathan Tennenbaum

Researcher on physics and the philosophy of science; independent consultant on economics, science and technology in Berlin, Germany; research collaborator of the company Quantix - Société de Recherche et Développement en Technique Vibratoire (Paris); pianist and composer.

Born 1950 in Chicago, USA. Studies of mathematics and physics at the University of Rochester, Cornell University and the University of California. Ph.D. in mathematics from the University of California at San Diego (1973). Lecturer in Mathematics, Odense University, Denmark (1973-74). Postdoctoral fellow, Cambridge University, England (1974). Assistant Professor of Mathematics at the University of Copenhagen, Denmark (1975-1979). Grant from American Mathematical Society for research into the unpublished papers of Bernhard Riemann (1980). Contributing editor to the German magazine FUSION, devoted to science, advanced technology and economic development (1981-1987). Advisor to the research unit of the news service EIR, specializing in science and technology, economic development and macroeconomic analysis (1988-2006). Visiting Lecturer at the University of Business and Technology in Pristina, Kosovo (2007-2009). Consultant to the Russian educational website "Epistemoteka" (2008- 2010). Invited lecturer at the Universities of Rio de Janeiro, Sao Paolo and Belo Horizonte in Brazil, with courses on the history and technological applications of nuclear energy (2010). Research collaboration with the Russian physicist Danil Doubochinski, Paris, on scientific and technological applications of a new principle in the field of nonlinearly-coupled oscillating systems (2005 to present).
