The “Transversal Research Pole” (TRP) is based on the previous CFCUL Thematic Line “Unity of Science and Interdisciplinarity”. It is appointed to systematic research on interdisciplinary practices in sciences, arts and humanities. It explores the contradiction between the institutional permanence of disciplinary structures in the sciences, arts and humanities, and the paradoxical appeal made by the same institutions for transgressing disciplinary boundaries in order to be original and innovative.
