António Maria Reis Pereira, with a degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology, was a team member of the PTDC/HIS-HCT/102497/2008 Project with a research grant for two years long. The focus on the study of the application of Photography in Medicine in Europe during the period 19th-early 20th centuries, led to the development of his dissertation of a Master’s degree in Chemistry (Chemistry, Health and Nutrition), entitled “Study of the Impact of the X-Rays’ Discovery and its Medical Applications in Portugal”.
