Actually is a full member of Molecular Sciences and Materials Research Centre of Lisbon University; Full Professor of Chemistry of Lisbon University till 2006.
The main actual research interests are: material chemistry and Mossbauer spectroscopy applied to cultural heritage studies; history of scientific photography and chemistry of photography in the 19th century-early 20th century; evolution of spectroscopic instruments and related technical gains in the university teaching and research.
