Ana Cristina Neves

Current Director of Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia (FCT) Information Society Department, responsible for coordination and mobilization regarding Information Society/Digital Public Policies in Portugal, since March 2012, Ana Neves was former Head of International Affairs at Knowledge Society Agency (UMIC).

Counselor S&T, Space, Education &Information Society @ Permanent Representation of Portugal to the EU in Brussels from 2002-2008. During the Portuguese Presidency of the Council of the European Union in 2007, Ana Neves chaired the Research WP, Joint Atomics Questions-Research WP, WP on The European Institute of Innovation and Technology, Education Committee (Higher Education) and Telecom/Information Society WP (INFSO part). Prior she was the Advisor on International Affairs to the PT Minister of S&T.
