Carlos Moedas, European Commissioner for Research, Science and Innovation, detains responsibilities regarding research funding programs, especially Horizon 2020, making sure they contribute to the Commission’s jobs, growth and investment package.

Besides, Carlos Moedas is also responsible for promoting the international excellence of the EU’s research and science and strengthening research capacities and innovation across all Member States. Simultaneously, evaluating how EU‑funded research can be used more effectively and ensuring that Commission proposals are based on scientific evidence.
