ICT on Healthy Ageing

Population aging is a major challenge facing Europe. Intervention requires a multidisciplinary approach mobilizing several sectors and society areas.

It is important to streamline actions and develop strategies focused on Active Ageing, a concept defined by the World Health Organization as a process of optimizing opportunities for health, participation and security in order to improve elderly quality of life.

ICT (Information and Communication Technologies) play a key role on this issue, extending the possibilities for information and assistance centered in older citizens health promotion.

The ICT 2015 will highlight several European projects with interventions in this area.
