Plenary Speech by Commissioner Moedas

Commissioner Moedas, European Commissioner for Research, Science and Innovation, will be at the ICT 2015 conference to present a keynote speech on open science and society.

In the second day of the conference, Moedas, responsible for the Horizon 2020 research and innovation program, will discuss several issues concerning open access and the impact on society.

Regarding this issue there are some concurrent trends like the increasingly open access to research and public data, the explosion of data and it´s availability, the involvement of the public and individuals in the scientific process and decision making.
