The complex concept of territory is present in several theoretic and artistic dimensions, from geography to literature, including ethology, oceanography or music theory. This research area analyses the different configurations of this concept. It starts from the various definitions of the concept of territory in the different sciences and their possible multiple interconnections. This entails the study of several concepts connected to the territory such as space, strength, milieu, frontier/border, etc., which may imply a particular case of relationship among science, art and philosophy. One of the results of this interplay is the relation between territory and body, which is the object of a specific research that answers the question: to what extend the body acts as the constructor of the map and the territory? Another result is the research of new forms of world cartography which requires the understanding of the impact of the cybernetic technology in the new geographies of the territory and in the globe's visualization.
