R&D structure
Politécnico de Leiria has been asserting itself as a higher education institution with a core focus on Research, Development and Innovation (R&D+i), oriented towards the economic and social fabric of the region where it is inserted, but always centred on the global, broader scope inherent to any R&D+i effort.
We aim to develop R&D+i activities that are useful for the region of Leiria, but also relevant for the whole country, and with potential for application in an international context, within our various areas of activity.
In addition to our dedicated research units, it is also worth mentioning the solid internal support structure Politécnico de Leiria has for its R&D+i activity, which is divided in three sectors: INDEA, CPVC and Projects Office.
