Programme for Cooperation in Science between Portugal and Hungary

Call for joint project proposals 2019/2020

OVERVIEW

The Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia, (FCT) and the Nemzeti Kutatási, Fejlesztési és Innovációs Hivatal (NKFIH) of Hungary hereby launch a call for joint proposals for Portuguese and Hungarian research teams, for the period 2019-2020.

FUNDING

Funding regards the mobility of researchers participating in the projects: travel costs and per diem of Portuguese research teams to Hungary, to be covered by FCT, up to 2000 €/year, and travel costs and per diem of Hungarian researchers visiting Portugal, to be covered by the NKFIH.

ELEGIBILITY

The inclusion of young researchers in the teams is mandatory (see FAQ’s).
Priority is given to new projects and new teams.

HOW TO APPLY

Joint proposals must be submitted simultaneously by the Portuguese partners to FCT and by Hungarian researchers to the NKFIH in the set format. Unilaterally submitted projects shall not be considered.

The completed project proposals must reach both sides by 17:00 pm, on 18 June 2018. These should include:

• Application Form (available online)
• A signed statement from the host institution and department (to be uploaded on page 10 of the Application Form).

EVALUATION

Proposals shall be evaluated according to the following criteria: scientific merit of the proposal; quality of the research teams involved in the proposal; level of participation of young Portuguese researchers; adequacy of the exchange of researchers to the proposed work plan.

All eligible proposals will be evaluated by both sides, and then jointly by the Joint Selection Committee, made up of members of FCT and of the NKFIH. Selected proposals will meet the joint goals of both institutions.
